Masood Aijazi CFA has over 35 years’ professional experience in finance, investment banking and portfolio management, specializing in wealth management for family businesses.
Masood was the Vice President Strategy & Business Development of SNB Capital for over ten years. SNB Capital is the investment banking arm of Saudi National Bank (SNB) with AUM of over $66 billion offering a full range of asset & wealth management services in all asset classes & styles. SNB is the largest bank in the Arab world with assets over USD 274 Billion.
Masood has been the Investment Advisor of SEDCO Holdings, a leading private wealth management group that manages a wide spectrum of real estate, equities, and other businesses in GCC and the world. Its asset management arm, SEDCO Capital manages assets over US$ 6 billion. Before that, he was the Managing Director of ZAD Investment Company, an investment management firm investing globally in all asset classes with AUM of over a billion dollars. Mr. Aijazi was also a partner of Los Angeles based management consulting firm, AJZ & Associates.
Masood has also worked for CBiz Inc. (NYSE: CBZ) a US leading provider of consulting services specializing in retirement plan management and administration. CBiz has about 6,500 employees in 120 offices across US.
Masood is a CPA, CMA and CFA charter holder. He received his MBA in Finance from University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles USA. He is also a graduate of Institute of Business Administration Karachi, established by Wharton School of Finance University of Pennsylvania (Wharton). USC and Wharton both are ranked among the top ten business schools by the Wall Street Journal
Masood conducts courses for family-owned businesses offered by the Center for Executive Education, IBA Karachi. He is a frequent speaker on wealth management for family businesses, Islamic finance, investments, leadership and strategy in international conferences & seminars. He was the Lead Instructor of Kaplan Schweser CFA Review program since 2001. Masood has served on the selection committee of the prestigious IDB Prize for Islamic Economics and Finance multiple times.
